It’s especially rewarding to see a project move from plans and construction to a finished space that students can now experience every day. Projects like this are a great reminder of the lasting impact that thoughtful construction and strong partnerships can have on our local communities.

New Rochester Regional Health center expands mental health and addiction care access

Congratulations to Micah Brown and the entire Javen Construction team on the completion of Rochester Regional Health’s new Mental Health and Addiction Recovery Center.

Completing projects is always rewarding, but it’s especially meaningful when the work helps expand access to essential healthcare services.

This project brings mental health and addiction recovery services together under one roof, creating a more accessible, patient-centered space for the community.

Lee-Whedon breaks ground on $5 million addition to Medina library

“Lee-Whedon Memorial Library celebrated a ground-breaking today on a 4,785-square-foot addition on the back of the current library, which is 11,100 square feet.”

“The addition will create space for two meeting rooms, two tutoring rooms, a programming room with makerspace, Friends of the Library book sale room, a quiet research room, a teen room and 14 parking spots.”

“There would also be additional restrooms, a new circulation desk, a new entry portico with automatic sliding doors, about a 10 percent increase in the collection and upgraded technology.”

“The construction bids totaled $3,892,623 with the following working on the project: Javen Construction of Rochester, general construction; TME Excavating of Hilton, site work; McGrain Mechanical of Rochester, HVAC; Erie Electric of Rochester, electric; LMC Industrial of Dansville, plumbing.”

Work to begin in Oleans County!

“The Orleans County Legislature has accepted about $800,000 bids from contractors to make repairs and upgrades to the Public Safety Building.

Part of the western side of the Public Safety Building, in the area that used to include Probation, needs work. The structural supports on the western side are undersized to support HVAC.

The Legislature on Tuesday approved the following bids for “Public Safety Building emergency structural repairs” that total $815,700:

$649,000 for general construction from Javen Construction Company of Penfield”
